I have a friend who recently got into wine, and I was thinking I might get him a gift card for a nice wine shop in the Twin Cities. Ideally it would be a place that doesn't feel like just going to a liquor store. Any ideas? |

car for sale in Stevens Square
(I wasn't sure if I could post this, but then I remember that people sell apartments and junk on here all the time. If I'm mistaken, kindly let me know.) Basically, I'm selling my '92 Mustang, which came with me from California and which I love to death. It doesn't have any rust on it because this is only its second winter here. It held up fine last year, but I've had some problems since, most of which I've fixed. I started the bid on Craigslist at $1300 but for you fine folks I'll start it at $1100, since I doubt anyone here is like a diehard Mustang fan. Which is who I'm aiming to catch. Questions, comments, concerns, you can reply here, message me, or use the CL ad. And yes, I may be a socialist, but no you can't have my car for free. Tights!
Hi Everyone, I am tired of feeling like a lumberjack this season. I like wearing skirts and dresses and feeling lady like, but I don't really have appropriate leg wear. I hear smart wool tights are good but they are $45 a pack. I was wondering if anyone has some more affordable suggestions for wool/warm tights? Perhaps some knock-offs and other brands they can point me too? I would prefer to buy these locally. Thanks! |

Psychiatrist recommendations
I haven't had good luck managing my depression through my primary doctor, so I've decided to look into seeing an honest-to-God psychiatrist again. I saw one several years ago, and my first-and-last visit was a complete failure...he wouldn't stop telling me about his teenage drug use and shoplifting escapades, so we never really got around to dealing with MY issues. That said, I need recommendations for a psychiatrist, someone who's good at patient relations, and who will actually listen to my feedback about medication effectiveness and side effects. Also, it would be best if his/her office is at or near the U of M, and takes HealthPartners insurance.Anti-recommendations are also helpful (I wish I could remember my old psych's name to warn the unwary). You can also PM me if you don't want to post. Thanks! EDIT: I need a psychiatrist recommendation to manage meds. I am not looking for a therapist now, but I want a psychiatrist who has enough people skills to take patient experience into account when managing meds. Thanks! |

Dome Running
Hey runners! If you're a pansy like me and don't want to run outside in the dark and cold, the Metrodome is open to runners every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. though March 11th. 2 1/2 laps around the concourse equals a mile. do progressive Catholic churches still exist here?
My husband and I are lazy Catholics. We have gone to church here and there around town but haven't joined any congregations. Now we have a little baby and want to have him baptized and be members of a church. What we are looking for is a progressive Catholic church. One that is at least open in some sense to gay people, for instance. Does that exist anymore? I know a few years ago the archdiocese cracked down on St Joan of Ark and St. Stephens and other churches to get in line with the Vatican's rules on masses for gay people etc. Anyone have any insight? THanks! |

Found cat in Stevens Square/Minneapolis
Cross posted. Found a cat that went into our condo garage last night, and then decided to meow at me and tug at my heartstrings when I got out of my car today. She's a female, vet didn't find a chip, but she's really well mannered and well adjusted, I can't believe she'd be a stray. Grey/brown, black stripes. Pictures of the squirmy cat below the cut.
